Patti Glinski called the
meeting to order.
Approval of December Minutes Trudi
Newhard
In the Principal’s report,
the words “Parish Council” should be replaced with “Pastor.”
Ending Balance: $28,458.79
Principal’s Report Mrs.
Carufe
The
Fourth Grade ELA is being held this week.
The Eighth Grade ELA will be held next week.
The
Eighth Grade will participate in the NAEP reading test on January 24th.
Sister
Pauline and a mission team will be visiting the school on January 25th
from 8:30 to 10:30.
Catholic
Schools Week will be held at the end of the month. On Tuesday, January 30th, will be the morning Open
House. On Wednesday, January 31st
will be Pizza with the Parents. On
Thursday, February 1st, will be the marionette show. On Friday, February 2nd, there
will be a Munchkin Reception after Mass.
Tuition
will increase for the 2007-2008 school year.
It will be raised by $20/month/child.
The
Archdiocese will announce the realignment plan this month.
Kindergarten
registration will be held on February 6th, from 8:30 to 10:30. Registration for first through seventh
grades will be held on February 13th, from 9 to 10:30.
The
test results from Lourdes will be coming next week.
Children’s Penny Social Jackie
LaColla
This fundraiser made $1915. Everything went well.
The Cookie Walk made $1045. Between 550 and 600 dozen cookies were donated by the
families. Linda Lawson made 209 dozen.
Holiday Shop Peggy
Ercolino
A profit of $2291 was made. Next year, the amount of items needs to be increased. There was one request for a refund. Next year, it will be noted on the letters
sent home that all sales are final.
The Tanglewood Marionettes are confirmed for February 1st. They will arrive at 8 for a 9:30 show. The
show is called “Arabian Adventure.”
Brenda will need a check for $595 that morning.
Lynn and Anne will make a platter of breakfast items for
the morning Open House on Tuesday.
There will be an Ice Cream Social after lunch on Thursday. Spirit Day is also on Thursday.
The fundraiser
is all set for the second week in February.
Bowl-a-thon Sandy
Bulson
The Bowl-a-thon will be held on February 3rd,
from 2 to 4:30. Sponsorship letters
will be sent home this week. This is a
First Grade event.
Sandy will
write an article about the children raising $1800 for a person that needed
prosthetics.
Fifth Grade Bake Sale
The Fifth
grade made $1021 from their bake sale.
School Cookbook Anne
Machado
Only 15 books are left.
A profit of $2500 was made.
Defensive Driving Patti
Glinski
Bob Doran has
volunteered to do another defensive driving course. The cost will be $42 per person.
Bob will give back $10 per person to the SSL. Patti is to proceed with this.
Maria wanted to verify that we will be offering the
discount cards again this year. She
will begin working on this.
Meeting was
